Configuration, events, and commands

Customer LAN
Files, APIs, feeds, and internal services
XTV Station is the desktop application used to connect XTV to files, feeds, APIs, and services that are only available locally.
It works as a secure bridge between the cloud platform and the operating environment: it receives configuration, enables plugins, and runs capabilities close to production data and systems.
A local point, ready for production
Station reduces the distance between XTV and the customer's infrastructure: it keeps local control, simplifies integrations, and enables operational features without directly exposing internal services.
On-prem execution
Runs close to files, feeds, APIs, and services in the local network, where production data often lives. This lets graphics software find data and images locally, without depending on external endpoints or web calls.
Controlled connection
Station can receive configurations and commands from the customer's XTV cloud environment in a centralized way.
Plugin platform
Capabilities are enabled through plugins, so each installation only uses what the workflow really needs.
Extend Station around the workflow
Station loads authorized plugins to add local capabilities without complicating the main installation. The primary plugins today are Sync and Proxy.
Local synchronization of data and images
The Sync Plugin keeps XTV exports and images available on local paths or network resources, such as shared folders and mapped NAS storage. This lets graphics software and broadcast workflows read files from the local environment, with faster response times and less dependency on connectivity.
- Makes exports and media available on the local network, including shared folders or mapped NAS storage
- Updates content when data, images, or programs change, helping software with file auto-refresh react immediately
- Improves graphics responsiveness because data and images are read locally
- Provides operational continuity: files remain available and editable locally even if the endpoint is unreachable
A plugin ecosystem in continuous evolution
Station is designed to grow over time with new plugins for local and cloud workflows. Extensions are already in development to send TCP/IP commands on the network, similar to a Companion-style controller, usable both locally and from the XTV cloud environment. New capabilities will be available soon.
